Rajesh (Govinda) thinks that his father Dhanraj (Kader Khan)is too strict and hence flees to Europe. Dinanath (Paresh Rawal), the patriarch of a joint family sends his granddaughter Meena (Karisma Kapoor) to Europe for studies. Rajesh and Meena meet in Europe and fall in love. Rajesh patches up with his father who agrees to go to Meena's house to ask her hand in marriage. But as fate would have it, Dhanraj and Dinanath get into an unfortunate quarrel without knowing each other's true identity. As a result the proposed relationship breaks. To rectify the situation Rajesh enters Meena's house as a servant and starts his mission of impressing her family to win her over.
